Info minister emphasizes importance of boosting ties with all nations

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22, (KUNA): It is essential for Kuwait to enhance bilateral ties with all friendly nations and international organizations to realize the UN’s development goals, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said.

The Minister made this remark during a meeting he had held with ambassadors of Russia, Germany and Bangladesh, a statement by the Ministry of Information said Saturday. Each envoy lauded the bilateral ties enjoyed by their countries with Kuwait, the statement pointed out.

The Russian Ambassador Alexey Solomatin admired democratic and parliamentary movement in the country, while the Bangladeshi envoy S.M. Abul Kalam expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Information for allocating a radio station that addresses the Bangladeshi population in the country.

German Ambassador Karlfried Bergner, meanwhile, touched on many fi elds of cooperation: culture, art, sports and youth, noting that Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud revealed his plans to set up many sports establishments and to add more foreign languages to news segments on radio and TV.
