KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: An Indian expatriate in his mid-30s was arrested in Jleeb Shuyoukh area by Farwaniya security operatives for possessing 80 bottles of local alcohol. Apparently, the Asian aroused suspicion of officers while they were patrolling the aforementioned location, and he was ordered to pull up for checking during which they recovered 80 bottles of local liquor. He told the officers he rented the vehicle from a car rental in Hawalli area. Necessary legal measures were taken against him. Meanwhile, officers from Hawalli Security Directorate apprehended another Indian national near Salmiya Park in connection with KD 3,467 debt. They also discovered he’s a residency law violator.
Drugs with Kuwaiti: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in possession of a piece of hashish and drug paraphernalia on Coastal Road opposite Mahboula area. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling the area when they suspected a vehicle that was being driven recklessly and ordered the driver to pull over. They checked his details to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen and they found a piece of hashish and drug paraphernalia in his possession. He was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, two Asian expatriates were arrested by Farwaniya securitymen for consuming liquor and possessing five bottles of locally manufactured liquor. They have been referred to the police station of the area.
