Immediate approval of requests of PAI

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: Director General of Kuwait Municipality Eng Ahmad Al-Manfouhi issued an administrative circular to notify all heads of sectors and directors of municipality branches in all governorates to instruct all department officials to adhere to and abide by the recommendations issued during the meetings held with the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) on the immediate approval of requests to issue construction license for addition, renovation or demolition of facilities belonging to PAI, reports Al-Rai daily.

In his circular, Al-Manfouhi stressed that this move is in accordance with the necessity to serve the best interests for improving the work environment, shortening the documentation cycle, speeding up the completion of transactions via electronic messaging, and developing the interfaces among government agencies.

He said it was agreed with PAI that submitting the application to Kuwait Municipality is an immediate approval from PAI, according to the automatic prior connection in the case of lands (service – literal – commercial).

Al-Manfouhi added that it was also agreed that the application would be initiated by the Kuwait Municipality, and it would be approved after PAI studies it in the case of industrial plots. He indicated that the PAI affirmed the readiness of the electronic link with the Kuwait Municipality and the launch of this service starting from Monday, August 17, stressing that all sectors of Kuwait Municipality and its branches in all the governorates must act according to the circular and abide by it since the date of its issuance
