Illegal stalls removed in Salmiya

KUWAIT CITY, April 27: The Municipality Services Licensing Department of the Hawalli Municipality has removed all temporary stalls (makeshift booths) from the Salmiya area, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the shop owners have praised the decision by the Municipality to remove the makeshift temporary stalls because they distorted the view of the market, in addition to the low quality of goods sold to customers.

Stalls are being dismantled

The shop owners told the daily all goods sold are counterfeit and the activity is carried out without supervision and follow-up by the Ministry of Commerce. The Municipality is said to have banned this activity due to non-compliance with the market strategy and the quality of goods sold in these markets.
