ID cards for real estate brokers – PAI cancels licenses of 5 projects

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry will issue identification cards for real estate brokers within this week, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources. Sources explained this step aims to end chaos in the concerned governmental bodies due to the existence of many expatriate real estate brokers.

Sources said the identification cards will be distributed to real estate broker offices which have updated their data; indicating that 600 out of 3,300 such offices have so far updated their data. Sources added this will also address the problems that citizens face in dealing with illegal real estate brokers as the identification card will be issued only to licensed brokers.

Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) cancelled the licenses of five industrial projects along with all the privileges such as the industrial buildings allocated for these projects in Amghara Industrial Area and West Shuaiba measuring about 1,000 to 60,000 square meters, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.
