Hunt for motorist – Asian dies in mishap

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: An Asian man died when a speeding American-made vehicle knocked him down and then crashed into a mobile grocery store along Kabad Motorway. The Asian’s remains were referred to Forensics and a case was registered against the driver of the vehicle. On the other hand, two Kuwaitis were injured when their vehicle overturned between Sulaibiya and Qairawan along the Fifth Ring Road. However, while the securitymen and firemen were dealing with the accident, a speeding Japanese- made vehicle rammed into a police vehicle and fire truck, resulting in material losses.

Motorist sought: Officers from the Criminal Evidence General Department at the Ministry of Interior have intensified efforts to arrest the driver of a vehicle that hit a four-year-old Kuwaiti child near Qurain Cooperative Society. The child died after four days of confinement at the Intensive Care Unit of an undisclosed hospital. Security sources affirmed the investigation started right after the accident and it is continuing to arrest the suspect.

4 hurt in brawl: Four Kuwaitis sustained injuries in different parts of their bodies after engaging in a public brawl with several others in Saad Al-Abdullah. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry received information on the incident. The injured were taken to Jahra Hospital. Initial investigations revealed the fight erupted due to earlier dispute between two Kuwaitis as each of them summoned their friends who joined the fray.
