Hunt launched for drug peddler’s partners

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 18: Police are looking for two men, an Arab expatriate and a Kuwaiti who are believed to be the accomplices of the Ghanaian who is in police custody for allegedly smuggling whisky into the country, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said personnel from the General Department for Drug and Alcohol Control acting on a tip-off had seized 1,500 cartons of alcohol from a house in the Jaber Al-Ahmad City.

Following the arrest, the African provided police with information about his two partners who are still at large, saying that one of them is Egyptian truck driver and the other is Kuwaiti and that the contraband was imported into the country through the Shuwaikh Port.

The source added the bill of lading said the contents of the container was furniture sent to the American Army
