Hunt for Egyptian contractor

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: Police are looking for an Egyptian contractor for demolishing an old building adjacent to the office of the Minister of Municipality in the Capital governorate, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the testimony of eyewitnesses, the Egyptian drove the bulldozer in to the building, demolished and escaped leaving behind his bulldozer.

For his part, a reliable source at the Kuwait Municipality said the Municipality will open an investigation in this incident. The source pointed out the demolition process requires the approval of the Municipality and has to be done under the supervision of an expert to ensure all safety regulations are adhered to.
