Holiday Inn, Boubyan Bank demolish rivals in Al-Roudhan tourney

KUWAIT CITY, May 21: The Holiday Inn Team and Boubyan Bank Team proved superiority during their first matches in the ongoing Abdullah Meshari Al-Roudhan Ramadan Futsal Tournament by beating their opponents hardheartedly, while My Fatourah Team and Late Abdullah Al-Medlij Team ended in a draw.

In the first game, skillful Paraguayan player Gigy became the cynosure of eyes when he led the Holiday Inn to an 8-0 winning streak against the Refrigeration Industries Company. Gigy alone scored four goals within the first half of the game to top the goal scoring chart until the fourth day of tournament. Another Paraguayan Silas scored the fifth goal, while Najib Ali and Abdullah Al-Shimali completed the remaining goals.

The second match of the day between My Fatourah and Late Abdullah Al-Medlij ended in a goalless draw. The game was full of ruggedness and physical aggression to the extent that Iranian professional of My Fatourah Hussein Tebi was sent out by the referee. However, Al-Medlij failed to capitalize on the minus one, although the duo of Brazilians Philippe and Anderson made several dangerous moves.

The third game was another goal harvest wherein Boubyan Bank succeeded in dubbing the Department of Land 3-1. Tabani scored two goals and Maxi scored the third goal for Boubyan. The only consolatory goal for the Department of Land was scored by Alaa Aqel.

In the three matches slated for Tuesday, Late Sa’ad Al-Rashidi Team will play against Sotchi, while Wolver Hampton will face Medhmar, and Late Hussein Ahmad Al-Roumi will encounter the Gulf Cables. Kuwait Parazuca accomplished a landslide victory with 7-0 goals over their opponents Al-Za’eem in the youth category, while Late Abdul- Hussein Abdul-Redha Team in another game crushed Al-Safir 4-0.
