His Highness Amir Shooting Championship opens

His Highness the Amir Fifth International Shooting Championship will kick off at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex on Wednesday evening.

The fifth version of the championship will attract 350 male and female shooters from 31 countries, including world and Olympic champions. They will compete at main tournaments involving skeet, trap and double trap events.

Secretary-General of Kuwaiti and Arab shooting federations Obaid Al-Osaimi said in a press release on Tuesday that the event, which will last until March 8th, will attract large participation as a sign of world interest in the championship.

The organizing committee of the championship, led by the President of Kuwaiti and Arab shooting federations Engineer Duaij Al-Otaibi said the committee will double awards and rewards for those shooters who can set new world records. (KUNA)
