KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: The fate of prospective Bedoun pilgrims is still hanging in balance as to issuing Hajj visas for them to make it to Hajj this year, considering the delay in submission of their passports coupled with the limited period for the departure of pilgrims, reports Al-Qabas daily.

A source noted the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs was trying its best to meet Sunday’s deadline stipulated for the submission of non-Kuwaiti pilgrims, which could mar the chances of Bedouns being part of this year’s Hajj rituals.

He added the ministry was expected to receive visas for 525 expatriate pilgrims on Sunday, and in case Bedouns missed the chance, their slots would be shared equally among all Hajj caravans.
