Hajiya and Tariq Al-Ali to star in new play to be staged during Eid

KUWAIT CITY, March 11: Actor Shihab Hajiya revealed his intention to return to work with star actor Tariq Al-Ali in a new play, which will be staged during Eid Al-Fitr, reports Al-Anba daily, He said he signed a deal with the star Al-Ali, and work is ongoing to sign agreements with the rest of the actors to participate in the play. Elaborating on his participation in the drama series to be telecast in the month of Ramadan, Hajiya explained that there will be two series. The first series, which is titled “As if there is nothing”, is written by Sihab, directed by Hussein Al-Hulaibi and stars Heba Al-Dari, Fahad Al-Abdul Hassan, Nour Al-Sheikh, Rania Shihab, Khalid Al-Shaeir, and others.

The second series, titled “Woroud Molawana” (Colorful flowers), is written by Aliya Al-Kazemi, directed by Essa Diab, and stars Ibrahim Al-Harbi, Intisar Al-Sharrah, Lamiya Tariq, Reem Arhoma, and Salma Salem.

Meanwhile, the drama ‘Ibsher Belsaad’ which is being filmed these days, is about the reality of thorny issues and stories of the Gulf society, reports Al-Rai daily.

The drama series will to be shown in Ramadan during the next season. Participating in the drama are well-known artistes including Mariam Al-Saleh, Hussein Al-Mansour, Taif, Abeer Ahmed and Reem Rahma and Nayef Al-Rashed.

The Al-Rai team who visited the filming location in northwest Sulaibikhat said the place looked like a beehive but got acquainted with some of the artistic personalities of a number of participants. In the drama Mariam Al-Saleh plays the role of a mother and Hussein Al-Mansour plays the role ‘Badr’ one of her sons, who portrays as a good man, not naïve but is harmed because of his kindness. While the artiste Taif also plays the role of a mother but loves money and cares less for the family and this evident the way she treats her daughter Reem Rahma.

Hussein Al-Mansour says he will continue with the shooting of his character in the drama series “Ibsher Belsaad”, which is written and directed by Nayef Al-Rashed and features a number of elite stars, reports Al-Rai daily.

He revealed that the coronavirus outbreak has resulted in obsessiveness over the health status to the extent that he carries thermometer with him to the location and constantly checks his body temperature as well as that of everyone in the location, along with disinfectants and sanitizers. In the meantime, the prominent artiste Abdulaziz Al-Haddad will leave for Jarba Island in Tunisia on March 12 to participate in the International Yamoun Festival, which is sponsored by the Arab Theater Authority, UNICEF, and Public Authority for Anti-Corruption, reports Al-Seyassah daily. During his participation in the festival, Al-Haddad will hold a three-day training course on the art of broadcasting and acting. It is worth mentioning that the festival will be held on March 13-18. Also, artiste Bader Al-Shuaibi has decided to postpone the release of his new album “Be Alarabi” to July due to the current circumstances in the country, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The album was reportedly supposed to be released recently but he decided to postpone the release. Actor Hamad Al-Amani is busy with the shooting of his character in the Ramadan drama series “Sama Aliya”, reports Al-Qabas daily. The drama is written by Saleh Al-Nabhan and Sheikha bin Amer, and directed by Mohammad Daham Al-Shammari. It features Jassem Al-Nabhan, Zahar Al-Kharji, Sulaiman Al-Yassin and Intisar Al-Sharrah.
