GIRI launches 4th Management Development Program –

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: Gulf Insurance and Re-Insurance, the subsidiary of Gulf Insurance Group the leading insurance service provider in Kuwait and Middle East is working towards management’s vision or creating a highly skilled and competent future management team, Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company (GIRI) launched its Management Development Program 4 (MDP4) on Thursday, Feb 4, 2016 at GIRI headquarters in Kuwait City. After the successful completion of its first three MDP projects in the last ten years, this is GIRI’s fourth ambitious MDP project.

GIRI firmly believes there is tremendous potential amongst Kuwaiti youth who possess professional education qualifications and the attributes to become successful future leaders in the insurance industry and primarily in the company. This program came to be due to GIRI’s belief in supporting Kuwaiti talent and providing rewarding job opportunities in the local market.

In his welcome address, GIRI CEO Tareq Al Sahhaf emphasized all support and commitment towards the success of yet another MDP. He added “Our mission is achieving our vision that will be through investing in the best qualified people, practices, process and technology in ways that will add value to our clients.

 As a Kuwaiti insurance company, we have a responsibility in this dynamic market and we will continue to invest in our people.”

On this MDP4 induction occasion, two former MDP graduates and current management members at GIRI shared their experiences with the new team. Ali Al Hendal, AGM — Life & Medical and Ahmad Husain, Senior Manager — Marine & Aviation spoke about the importance of commitment and ownership towards the program.

MDP Project Consultant and regional insurance expert Husain Al Ajmi elaborated on the career in insurance and also instructed the young candidates to the technical aspects of the 18 months long program.
