Bottles of foreign whisky seized by the Customs

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department acting on a tip-off and armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution recently raided a house in Jaber Al-Ahmad and seized 1,500 cartons of whisky with a street value of KD 2 million, reports Al-Anba daily.

During interrogation the Ghanaian bootlegger admitted to smuggling Red and Black Label whisky in a container through the Shuwaikh Port using the import of cosmetics as camouflage. The liquor and the suspect have been referred to the Public Prosecution. In the meantime, police are looking for several other accomplices who are still at large.
