Fruits, vegetables, old clothes seized at makeshift markets

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: Department of Public Relations at Kuwait Municipality announced the continuation of inspection campaigns carried out by the Public Hygiene and Road Usages at Farwaniya Municipality Branch in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior that led to confiscation of tons of vegetables, clothing and ration items recently, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Statement added the campaign, which covered several shops and markets in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh, Hassawi and Kheitan areas succeeded in confiscating 1,183 cubic meters load of fruits and vegetables, used furniture, electrical appliances, and clothing, in addition to 500 kilograms of ration items. Also, the officers issued 208 citations for various violations.
