France 24 report on 3 female immigrants deported for violation of labor law denied

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: A follow-up to a report on France 24, a stateowned international news and current affairs television network based in Paris resulted in the deportation of three female immigrants, one of whom was deported for violating the Labor Law, and the other two left the country voluntarily, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a security source, a report broadcast by France 24 reported that an Ivorian woman was detained at a domestic labor office and that she had been sexually harassed.

The source explained personnel from the Home Employment Department managed to determine the location of the a domestic labor office in northern Jahra, raided the place and found the domestic helper who claimed to have been harassed in addition to two other women.

The source added investigations revealed the report was broadcast on the channel was not true and that the housemaid admitted to running away from the house of her sponsor. Therefore she was deported while the other two expressed their desire to return home of their own free will.
