Forged entry bid by a Bangladeshi foiled; Kuwaiti and 2 minor Egyptian girls rob taxi driver

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: Passport officers at the Kuwait International Airport recently foiled an attempt by a Bangladeshi to enter the country on forged passport, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the Bangladeshi was earlier deported for violating residence laws. When the immigration officer checked the fingerprints of the suspect, it showed he had been deported from the country. During interrogation he admitted to carrying the passport which does not belong to him. He has been referred to the concerned authorities.

Trio rob taxi driver : The Sulaibiya police have arrested a Kuwaiti and two minor Egyptian girls for robbing a taxi driver, reports Al-Shahed daily. A security source said the taxi driver told police the Kuwaiti who was with the two girls believed to be 16 and 17 years old, hired his taxi. While driving them to their destination, one of the girls pulled out a knife and held it to his throat while the two others, stole KD 50 and cell phone from him. Intensive investigations led to the arrest of the Kuwaiti, who later led police to the two girls.

Gang of thieves held: The Jahra police have arrested a four-man gang – two Kuwaitis, a GCC citizen and a bedoun — for committing eight thefts, reports Al-Shahed daily. The arrest came after police set a trap for the suspects after receiving several complaints from groceries and branches of cooperative societies. The suspects have been handed over to the concerned authorities.
