Filipina maid evades kidnap attempt; Sri Lankan domestic caught selling drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: An unidentified Kuwaiti accompanied by his Filipina domestic worker has filed a complaint with the Fahd Al-Salem Police Station accusing two unidentified persons of attempting to kidnap her, reports Al-Rai daily. In his complaint the Kuwaiti said the maid was waiting outside his home to receive food from a home delivery restaurant and the suspects driving in a sports car attempted to bundle her in their vehicle and when she screamed for help they escaped from the scene. The victim has provided police the descriptions of the suspects.

Domestic caught selling drugs: Personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control have arrested a Sri Lankan domestic worker for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect was caught red-handed while selling 5 grams of heroin to a police agent. Police then raided the outhouse of the Sri Lankan inside the compound of his sponsor’s home in Salwa and seized from him 450 grams of heroin and 50 grams of meth.
