Files without workers for 1 yr after opening to be closed automatically

KUWAIT CITY, August 14: Evaluation and Follow up Supervisor at Jahra Labor Department Mohammad Al-Enezi disclosed that the sector has accomplished over 7,000 transactions since early July. Al-Enezi noted the transactions included renewal and cancellation of work permits, opening of new files, transfer of workers, and transfer and cancellation of licenses.

He said there were about 20,000 files at Jahra Labor Department, and that complete update of Public Authority for Manpower’s system used by the department had caused complications but it has been overcome. He thanked Allah that transactions are accepted and almost 95 percent of them have been accomplished.

He affirmed that employees are committed to their jobs and executing the directives of Director General of Public Authority for Manpower Abdullah Al-Mutawtah concerning working hours, which starts from 7:00am to 3:00pm. He declared the new system has enhanced their prerogatives, especially in relation to old files.

He explained that files without employees for one year after opening will be canceled automatically by the system. He also said visitors should be understanding and patient with to avoid mounting undue pressure on the employees. He assured there are enough staff in the department, but employees should be fixed to new places after some of them have retired.
