FBC concludes 67th Badminton Tourney – 68th regular tournament kicks off

KUWAIT CITY, April 2: The Filipino Badminton Committee in Kuwait (FBC)  held the finals of the 67th Badminton Tournament  on Friday at the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club in Hawally with veteran and amateur badminton players participating in the event.

Players smashed and swooshed their rackets to crush their opponents and bag the top spot.  The powerful duo Doy Viray and Jonathan Del Fina bagged the championship cup in the Level A & B while Eduard Gardose and Angelito Maroto topped Level B.

Here is the list of the other winners in the 67th regular FBC Tournament:

AM Games

Level A&B

Champion: Doy Viray, Jonathan Del Fina, 1st Runner Up: Erick Torno, Adrian Evangelista.

Level B

Champion: Eduard Gardose, Angelito Maroto, 1st Runner Up: Marc Carandang, Jelsy Carandang, 2nd Runner Up: Jules Francisco, Ailyn Borcena.

Level C

Champion: Louie Ladaga, Lezyl Colas, 1st Runner Up: Stephenson Totanes, Cherry Mendoza, 2nd Runner Up: Ronald Ibita, Jane Viray.

Level D

Champion: Miller Cachapero, Romelie Desposado, 1st Runner Up: Jenny Ogalde, Mary Grace Rivera, 2nd Runner Up: Jennet Torno, Bing Cielo.

PM Games

Level B

Champion: Adrian Evangelista, Marc Carandang, 1st Runner Up: Amador Caceres, Dondon Oxales.

Level C&D

Champion: Marlito Torres, Lolita Caballero, 1st Runner Up: Jennifer Torres,     Vernz Juachon,  2nd Runner Up: Jessamae Dumlao,  Julie Ann Armamento.

On the same day, FBC officers and members celebrated the birthday of FBC consultant and avid supporter Doy Viray with a sumptuous lunch treat.

With conclusion of the 67th Tournament, the 68th Tournament has also commenced.
