Fake Indian doctor held in Salmiya

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: Officers from the Criminal Evidence Department in Jahra Governorate arrested an Indian, born in 1980, for practicing medicine illegally, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a press statement, the department revealed the arrest happened after it received information that the Indian was practicing medicine even if he does not hold a medical degree. The officers put the Indian under surveillance and he was arrested in his house in Salmiya after they verified the information. He resisted arrest but the officers overpowered him. The officers also found a large quantity of different types of medicines, including abortion pills, in the suspect’s house

Drug pills seized: Security personnel from the Hawally Governorate have arrested an Asian woman for possessing six Tramadol pills, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect was caught in Salmiya at a checkpoint. According to the daily police checked the woman’s handbag because she looked abnormal and could not respond to questions from the police. She was also staying in the country without a valid residence permit. She has been referred to the concerned authorities prior to her deportation from the country.
