Expats who moved to Adailiya were residence violators

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 20: The Ministry of the Interior confirmed that the expats moved in large group to Adailiya area were residence violators and they were confused between Adailiya and Daiya, where their country’s embassy is located.

The General Administration of Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior issued a clarification regarding a video clip which circulated on some social media sites where large number of expats entering Adailiya.

The administration stated that after receiving a call at the operation room stating that a number of expats entered by foot into the Adailiya area, the security personnel immediately moved to the area, where a large number of expats in the Adailiya area were seen, and they were treated, confined and dropped at the Adailiya police station.

From the preliminary investigations it was clear that they wanted to go to the Indian embassy and obtain travel documents to take advantage of amnesty that allows them to leave without paying any fines and they went to the Adailiya area instead of the Daiya area.

Immediately, they were collected at the Adailiya police station and then transferred to the Indian Embassy.
