Egyptian ‘Mandoub’ held

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: Detectives from Farwaniya Residency Affairs Department arrested an Egyptian company representative for presenting a civil ID that does not belong to him and for forging his sponsor’s signature, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the suspect submitted a transaction to the department but he ran away when an official discovered that he presented another person’s ID whose owner provided police with information about the Egyptian. This led to the arrest of the Egyptian who admitted that he forged the application to extend the residency of his Filipina wife in order to avoid paying huge fine.

Director General of the General Public Relations and Media Security Department Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash explained the picture was taken six years ago when the leaders of the ministry visited Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad base on the occasion of Eid al- Adha. A number of children and sons of the security leaders who were wearing the interior and defense uniforms were also part of the visit, he added while asking; “Is it possible to be an officer with the rank of captain at 12 years old?”
