KUWAIT CITY, May 27: The Salmiya police have arrested two expatriates — an Egyptian and an Indian — for possessing 550 pills used for abortion, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the men were caught on suspicion because when a security patrol asked the Indian for his civil ID, he looked confused and this led police to search him.

During a body search police found on him 50 pills following which he was arrested and taken to a police station for interrogation. During interrogation, the Indian said he got the pills from an Egyptian and the latter paid him commission.

The Indian then gave police the name of the Egyptian who was subsequently arrested in Nugra after police set a trap for him. During interrogation the Egyptian admitted to the charge and led police to his apartment where he had hidden 500 pills. The contraband and the suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
