Egyptian duo caught forging health cards

KUWAIT CITY, April 10: Two Egyptian expatriates were arrested for forging health cards for expatriates working in restaurants and charging KD 40 from them for each. They were found in possession of forged seals, applications and KD 7,500 cash. According to security sources, when the General Department for Criminal Evidences received information about the illegal activities of an Egyptian expatriate, the department director formed a security team to conduct investigations and arrest the suspect.

The team placed the suspect under observation and then raided his apartment after receiving permission from Public Prosecution. From the apartment, the officers found forged health cards and certificates. During interrogations, the suspect revealed the identity of his accomplice who is of the same nationality and is working in Kuwait Municipality.

The second suspect was also arrested. He confessed to producing health cards for expatriates with health problems and stamping them with forged seals. The suspects were found in possession of KD 7,500 which they earned by selling forged health cards. Both suspects were referred with the confiscated items and cash to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
