Egyptian court upholds death for 3 in Kuwaiti’s murder

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 29: The Egyptian Tanta Criminal Court (Fourth Circuit), headed by Counselor Mohamed Abdel Hamid El-Khouly, has upheld the opinion of the Mufti of Egypt to hang the three people who are found guilty of murdering a Kuwaiti inside his house in the village of Ja’afaria, in the Al-Santah district, in the Gharbia Governorate, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the trio killed the Kuwait and stole his belongings. The incident happened in 2018.
The Kuwaiti is identified only as 54-year-old S. He was found dead inside his house, which visited every time, since his mother is from this village, and he has relatives living in the village.
According to security sources, a few hours after the crime, the three accused Ahmed Atiya al-Naqa, Ahmad Maher Abu al-Nur and Abd al-Latif Tariq Abd al-Latif were arrested and during interrogations they admitted that they were friends of the victim.
They also said they used to visit him and sometimes stay with him but because of greed they agreed to kill him. Two of the accused (the first and the second) went up to the victim’s apartment, killed and robbed him, while the third accused of monitoring the road.
