Egyptian arrested for snatching bag of Iranian containing KD 600

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: Police arrested an Egyptian for snatching the bag of an Iranian man while the latter was shopping in a market in Sharq, reports Al-Rai daily. The Iranian lodged a complaint with police saying his bag contained KD 600 and a cell phone. Police reviewed the surveillance cameras, resulting in the arrest of the thief after 48 hours.

Symbols of states disgraced: Securitymen arrested two persons for disgracing symbols of 10 states by editing their pictures which were posted on walls of several schools and government buildings, reports Al-Shahed daily. Securitymen looked into the surveillance cameras installed in one of the buildings where the photos were posted, resulting in the identification of the two suspects — one of them turned out to be an ex-military officer discharged from service for drug addiction. The former officer guided police to his accomplice.

Heroin found in parcels: The Air Cargo Department at Kuwait International Airport recently foiled a citizen’s attempt to smuggle an undisclosed quantity of heroin found in parcels addressed to his home in Rabya from a European country, reports Al-Shahed daily. The citizen turned out to have criminal record and he was arrested in an entrapment.

Wanted arrested: A group of wanted individuals and drug addicts fell into the hands of secret police agents affiliated to the General Security Department. Several male and female citizens were arrested for the possession of narcotics, whereas a Jordanian had hashish and Captagon pills in his possession at the time of arrest. The officers also nabbed male and female citizens wanted by law for evading jail terms imposed on them, together with a Syrian who is wanted by law for involvement in civil cases.
