Drug pills with two wanted in cash case

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: Two citizens wanted in connection with KD 45,000 financial offense were apprehended in Sabah Al-Salem area in possession of illicit drugs ‘Tramadol and Laricka.’ A security source said officers from Mubarak Al-Kabeer Directorate on a round of the aforementioned area spotted two people in a vehicle and ordered them to stop for checking. The officers discovered the duo was involved in a financial case and decided to conduct precautionary search on them. It was then they recovered illicit drugs. Meanwhile, Farwaniya Security operatives arrested a lady in her 40s in possession of narcotics.

In another incident, Capital Security Men held two Kuwaitis in Dahiyat Abdullah Al-Salem Area in possession of 12 Laricka pills and a bottle of alcohol. And another citizen wasw nabbed in front of the Amiri Hospital under the infl uence of alcohol. All suspects were referred to Drug Prosecution.

 ‘Tremadol’ in post: An Asian expatriate was arrested for importing 10,000 Tremadol pills to Kuwait via express postal service. According to sources, customs officers at air cargo office discovered the drugs which were packed strategically in the cargo that had arrived via express post. Customs Investigation Office immediately coordinated with Ministrey of Interior to identify the individual who imported the cargo and arrest him. Investigations revealed that the suspect is an Asian expatriate who was arrested and referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
