Driving licence for an oil field technician

I am an oil field technician, working in Kuwait and just arrived. My salary is KD 700. Am I eligible to get Kuwait driving license?

Answer: Salary-wise you are qualified but in addition to that you must be a university graduate and you should have been a resident of Kuwait for a least two years since your first entry. While we have no knowledge of you being a university degree holder or not, we are certain that you don’t meet the two-year residency requirement and hence this disqualifies you from applying for a driving licence. We must point out that applicants belonging to some professions are exempted from meeting some of the above requirements. You may therefore check from the Traffic Department to see if you qualify to receive an exemption
