Doubling fine for violating residential construction

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: The Municipal Council will hold a regular session next Monday, chaired by Abdullah Al-Mahri, to review the letter received from the Minister of Municipality Abdulaziz Al-Moajel approving the minutes of meeting No. 8 of 2022, rejecting the council’s decision not to approve the request of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport to approve a design and development of the 17 kms long Fourth Ring Road, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The members will review the responses received from the executive body to some questions and suggestions, and discuss the request submitted by a group of members to discuss the Municipality’s role and its vision in dealing with the government’s work program, then discuss the recommendations received from the various committees, including the proposed amendments to Municipal Law 33 of 2016, and the draft regulation of the Municipal Council, and doubling the fine for violating residential construction work only and if it cannot be technically removed or corrected without destroying the non-violating parts of the building.

The council will discuss the recommendation to add a fee of 200 dinars to election camps, and the committee’s approval of the proposal of the head of the Municipal Council, Abdullah Al-Mahri, regarding paying the fees due for the license issued to exploit public roads, squares, sidewalks and public squares in annual installment
