KUWAIT CITY, April 27: Under the guidance of Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna and supervision of Head of Surveillance and Inspection Department Colonel Munaif Sari Al-Mutairi, officers from General Traffic Department carried out a traffic campaign on Abdulkareem Al-Katabi Road during which they issued 74 traffic citations and seized 60 vehicles.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the department urged Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to refrain from using the right emergency lanes. It explained that the left emergency lanes can be used from 6 am to 10 pm only in times of traffic congestion.

The speed of the vehicles should not exceed 45 km/hour on the emergency lanes of the following roads:- King Abdulaziz Expressway to and from Sixth Ring Road and Third Ring Road, King Fahad Expressway to and from Sixth Ring Road and First Ring Road, King Faisal Expressway to and from Sixth Ring Road and Fourth Ring Road, Ghazali Road to and from Sixth Ring Road and Fourth Ring Road, Fifth Ring Road from King Abdulaziz Expressway until Andalous intersection and Sixth Ring Road to and King Abdulaziz Expressway until Farwaniya Hospital intersection.
