Doctors awards withdrawn – Why promoting research thieves ?

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 2: Professor of Business Studies at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) Dr Mohammad Al-Watiyan confirmed his continued discovery of those who steal scientific researches, pointing out that he has filed lawsuits to invalidate the promotion of what he called “the thieves of researches”, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Al-Watiyan told Al-Qabas that Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) has withdrawn two awards from two doctors in previous years through stolen researches and considered it a serious crime. He affirmed that KFAS has exerted great effort in combating fake researches. “Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi has called for the formation of a committee to withdraw the promotion of those who steal researches of others based on the decision of the KFAS council”, said Al-Watiyan
