Kuwaiti Doctor holding fake graduation docus referred to prosecution

KUWAIT CITY, March 31: The Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Bader Al- Essa has referred a female Kuwaiti doctor working for the Faculty of Medicine at the Kuwait University to the Public Prosecution because investigations have proved that she is holding fake graduation certificates, reports Al-Jaridah daily.

Speaking to reporters, Al-Essa said the competent authorities at the university and the Ministry of Higher Education checked the certificates of the concerned doctor after receiving information about the certificate being forged.

This was in addition to the faulty procedures during the appointment and that appropriate legal action will be taken against the suspect. He added she was stopped from working at the Faculty of Medicine after the discovery of a case of fraud saying, “we do not know whether she practiced medicine but it will become clear during the investigation by the Public Prosecution.” He pointed out that the ‘higher education’ will continue in its efforts to uncover all those who are holding forged or fake certificates and legal action will be taken against them.

Handbag with gold ring, KD 60 stolen: An unknown individual behaved inappropriately with an Asian woman in Farwaniya area and robbed her of her handbag which contained her mobile phone, a gold ring and KD 60 cash. According to security sources, the victim filed a case at Farwaniya Police Station against the unknown suspect, explaining that she was surprised when the suspect physically stopped her while she was walking in the area, caught her hands and kissed her after which he grabbed her handbag and ran away. She gave the suspect’s description to the securitymen, revealing that he was dressed in casual attire. Investigations have been launched to find and arrest the suspect. Meanwhile, an unknown individual hit an Asian expatriate on the head with a stone during a quarrel between them in Farwaniya area. Security sources said the Asian expatriate filed a case at Farwaniya Police Station against the unknown suspect, explaining that a quarrel broke out between them when the suspect harassed him. During the quarrel, the suspect took a stone from the ground and hit him on the head. He presented a medical report to the securitymen to indicate the injuries he sustained. Securitymen took necessary action.

Documents falsified: Personnel from the Citizenship and Passports Affairs Department have arrested three Kuwaitis, including a security man working for the Ministry of Interior for his involvement in falsifying documents and getting the Kuwaiti citizenship unlawfully, reports Al-Shahed daily. As soon as the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received information from unidentified sources, the suspects were referred for investigation following which they will be referred to the Public Prosecution. According to reliable sources there are many such cases and such files of naturalized citizens will be referred for investigation to find out if they got the citizenship lawfully or not.

Woman swindled of KD 5,000: A Saudi national swindled KD 5,000 from a Kuwaiti woman in her 40s after agreeing to sell her a car, reports Al- Anba daily. According to security sources, the victim lodged a complaint at Sabah Al- Salem Police Station, explaining that she had reached an agreement with the suspect to buy a vehicle for KD 5,000. After she transferred the money to his bank account, he disappeared and kept his mobile phone switched off. Using the details of the suspect provided by the Kuwaiti woman, securitymen have launched investigations to find and arrest him.

KD 950 stolen from mandoub: An unidentified Egyptian who works as a mandoub has filed a complaint with the Maidan Hawally Police Station accusing an unidentified person of beating him and robbing his money, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant said the incident happened after he left the maid’s recruitment office in Hawalli. The suspect, who may have been following him, surprised him and stole KD 950. He told the police he tried to resist the man but he assaulted him and escaped with the money. The police are looking for the culprit.
