Design for Khaitan’s comm center roads complete

‘Technical, contractual documents prepared, processed’
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: Director General of the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) Eng Ahmad Al-Hassan disclosed the Execution Department in the authority is implementing the projects which were designed and whose tender was floated by the Ministry of Public Works (MPW), reports Al Qabas daily.
Al-Hassan made the statement while addressing the Municipal Council regarding the organization of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. He revealed the tender includes the construction, completion and maintenance of roads and services in Khaitan – around the administrative and commercial center, as well as Jleeb Al Shuyuokh – around the plots allotted for public benefit organizations.
He confirmed the design works have been completed, whereas the technical and contractual documents have been prepared and processed; and measures are underway to float the tender.
He explained the procedures for project design being implemented by the Maintenance Sector at MPW cover the renovation of parking lots at Farwaniya Cultural Center. He said concerted efforts are being exerted to provide the authority with the coordinates of parking lots in order to get the necessary designs, and then there will be correspondence with the State Ministry for Services to obtain approval.
He affirmed work is in progress to conduct preliminary design for the renovation of parking lots in Al- Noor Private School and Al-Fajr Al-Jadid Private School for Boys. He went on to say that Kuwait Municipality will be provided with the designs for approval, followed by the Services Ministry’s approval.
As for linking the entrances and exits in South Abdullah Al- Mubarak Housing project with the surrounding roads, he said the authority is still waiting for response from the council; indicating the council has been provided with data in this regard through a letter from the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW). He is looking forward to studying and presenting technical opinion on linking the entrances and exits of the area to the main road network as requested by PAHW as soon as possible for completion of the necessary procedures.
