Two units established: The General Department for Sentences Enforcement has established two units which will be directly under its control – one each at the Al-Nuwaiseeb and Salmi border posts, reports Al-Anba daily. The task of these units will be to prevent any person from leaving the country without paying the fines. Once the immigration detects a travel ban on the person, he/she will be referred to the unit office where the details of the ban will be listed on a prescribed form and the person can choose to pay the outstanding amount (if the issue is monetary) at the special bank at the border, and then proceed to the immigration department with the clearance letter.
