Decomposed body of newborn found; Woman cheated of KD 8,000

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 2: Decomposed body found: A citizen found the decomposed body of a newborn baby at a camping site in Wafra Agricultural Area. The Operations Unit in the Ministry of Interior dispatched a team of securitymen to the location after receiving a call from the citizen who reported the incident. The baby’s remains were referred to Forensics. A case was registered and investigations are underway to identify the baby’s parents and to take the necessary legal action against them.

Body stolen from mortuary: In an unprecedented tragic incident, a Kuwaiti woman sneaked into the mortuary at Sulaibikhat Cemetery and carted away the dead body of her 21- year old daughter. She is said to have returned the corpse two hours later, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said an official at Sulaibikhat Cemetery lodged a complaint with officers at Qaraiwan police station and reported the body of a young woman had disappeared from the mortuary, and a cell phone was found in its place. According to the bereaved mother, she could not sustain the parting of her beloved girl, and she wanted to be with her before burial.

Woman swindled of KD 8,000: Police are looking for a Kuwaiti man who swindled a compatriot woman in her 30s. The man is said to have col-ected KD 8,000 from the woman and refused to payback, reports Al-Rai daily. In her complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department, the lady said the man convinced her to marry him, and he requested financial help to arrange for the wedding ceremony. The woman narrated that she secured bank loan and gave the money to the man, and she was surprised when he sent her SMS from Cairo saying he could not fulfill his promise
