THE Islamic military alliance to fight against terrorism is a new decisive storm announced by Deputy Crown Prince and Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

If the first decisive storm chopped off Iran’s hands which toyed with Yemen’s security; this alliance, consisting of 35 Islamic countries, is in reality, the storm which will not allow any extremist group or gang to hide behind religious mask while persisting in the ‘kidnapping’ of Islam and threatening the existence of its people.

This alliance will not remain in the hands of regional or international forces to scare the Arab and Islamic nations.  It is also a new indication of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ability, together with the GCC countries, to take historic, serious and crucial decisions to address issues that pose a threat to the destiny of the entire region.

The decision to form this alliance shows how not to depend or wait for others to make decisions, especially if others are attempting to exploit the terrorism file to serve their interests and to cement their feet in the region at the expense of innocent Islamic and Arab people.

The announcement of the formation of the Islamic military alliance to combat terrorism is in line with an old adage: “The people of Mecca are more informed about its people …”, because there is no force in the world that is capable of eliminating the ‘lost group’ masquerading behind Islam other than the Islamic forces.

Only the Islamic forces are more informed on how to deal with the situation concerning those who use Islam as a tool to implement plans set by forces benefiting from the division and breakup of the Islamic and Arab worlds.

Countries in the new alliance are more informed about the nature of Islam and its belief, while extremism and terrorism are threatening its existence.

Perhaps, the reason why the 60 countries coalition forces led by the United States of America, in addition to Russia, failed to eliminate ISIL and other terrorist groups is the contradiction of beliefs or identities which these terrorist groups are exploiting to obtain support from the people of Muslim nations.  Now, these groups will face the people of Muslim nations.

If the western and non-Muslim countries attempted to exploit the sectarian and creedal conflicts; thus, settling for aerial bombardment without addressing the causes of extremism, the Islamic alliance has the ability to change the rules of the game.

Only this alliance has the ability to resolve the ideological and economic motives that contributed to the existence of terrorist groups, without exploiting the conflict to achieve goals, similar to what the western countries are doing.

This alliance was formed calmly and quietly within 72 hours.  Its principle is not to discriminate between this gang and another nor seek assistance of a certain extremist group to fight the other, because it is merely treating a disease with another disease.

The Islamic nations and their people, throughout the past years, carried the burden of slander cast upon them by the western media and pressure forces, which aligned everyone under the same column and failed to take heed of the warnings from Muslim countries on the threat posed by the so-called Islamic groups.

Therefore, this alliance came today to take up the task such that nations in the entire world will know who supports and nurtures terrorism; and whose existence is threatened by these groups.
