BAGHDAD, Oct 25 (KUNA) — The death toll from clashes between Iraqi security forces and anti-government protestors increased to 30 people, with over 2,312 wounded.
According to a statement by the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights (IHCHR) late Friday, the victims included nine deaths in Maysan, the same in Dhi Qar, eight in Baghdad, three in Basra and one in Muthanna.
The commission called on all protesters to maintain peaceful demonstrations and not to prejudice public and private property and urged security forces to preserve the lives of people.
Iraq’ Supreme Judicial Council warned that the judicial authorities will deal with acts of violence and the destruction of buildings and public and private properties as a terrorist act.
