Provide better services, security and safety for Kuwaitis and Expats

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali, Friday toured the Sabah Al-Ahmad and Al-Wafra Residential and Agricultural areas and the Sabah Al-Ahmad and Al-Wafra police stations to inspect the security situation and determine the needs, says a statement issued by the Directorate-General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry, reports Al-Anba daily. During the tour, the minister stressed on the importance of dealing with reports received by police stations with what he called ‘total seriousness and discipline’ in accordance with the law and the need for vigilance and paying attention to the security situation in the country to achieve security and stability.

He also stressed on the need for vigilance at security points, stressing their importance in facing outlaws and deterring violators and recklessness is of vital importance while at the same time appreciating the efforts exerted by the security men to provide better services and provide security and safety for citizens and residents.

He expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the public security sector, praising them for implementing the tasks and duties entrusted to them with dedication and sincerity. The statement stated the Minister of Interior was briefed during the tour on the mechanism of field work, the readiness of the security teams during holidays, the scope and spread of the security patrols, and what they lack in terms of needs to perform the required work to the fullest extent.

The statement also said the minister inspected all the outposts and made note of a number of observations and obstacles facing the work of the security men at the police stations, and called on the concerned security officials to solve them as soon as possible. He also listened to a number of complaints and observations made by citizens and residents in Sabah Al-Ahmad and Al-Wafra regions especially the defect in distribution of investigators, and brought to the notice of the minister that there is no investigator at the Sabah Al-Ahmad City Police Station, as a result of which the citizens are forced to visit the Mina Abdullah Police Station, and the residents of Al-Wafra have to go to the Al-Zour Police Station
