Date with a thief; Money is useless

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: Police are looking for an unidentified youth for allegedly stealing the phone and car of a Kuwaiti woman who is believed to be in her 20s, reports Al- Anba daily.

In her complaint to the police the woman said she had a date with the ‘thief’ and she drove adjacent to his home in Jaber Al-Ali. She added, the youth lured her out of the car, got behind the wheel and drove off.

Money is useless: Police have arrested an unidentified person for breaking into a laundry in Hawalli and assaulting the Yemeni worker, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the man was high on alcohol when the incident took place. The man reportedly claimed he was a major in the police force and threatened to cause harm to the worker and the owner who had rushed to the laundry after the Yemeni informed him about the incident. The drunkard sensing the arrival of police, allegedly offered money to let him go, but he was prevented from leaving and handed over to police.
