Damage by rain – Compensation still pending

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: The Public Authority for Assessment of Compensation will soon make good losses suffered by citizens during the heavy rainfall towards the end of last year, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, a maximum of KD 1,000 will be disbursed to owners of cars that were damaged last November by the flying gravel. The disbursement will be done in coordination with the insurance offices and the Technical Examination Section of General Traffic Department affiliated to the Ministry of Interior.

The sources added, more than 300 claims of vehicle damage are being looked into but ruled out summoning the rest of the other categories such as farms and chalets. The committee will look only into claims of damage to cars, houses and furniture.
