Dad, sons fined – Relative beaten

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: The Criminal Court imposed a fine of KD 375 each on a Kuwaiti citizen and his three sons for breaking into the house of their sister’s husband and beating him and his family, which resulted in injuries on them as well as material damages in the house.

The Public Prosecution had pressed charges against the citizens for breaking into the victim’s house at night, attacking him and his family and causing material damages to his property.

The defense counsel Lawyer Mohammad Al-Husseini cited malicious accusations against his clients to ensure they get maximum punishment. He pointed out contradictions of the statements with the technical evidence of the investigations conducted, clarifying that a heated argument arose between the parties which eventually developed into a fistfight. He stressed that this was affirmed by the call made by the first suspect to the Rescue Operations in which he requested for a patrol team to help in breaking up the fight
