Customs plans to set up anti-corruption department to counter spread of ‘graft’

KUWAIT CITY, April 14: General Administration of Customs (GAC), in cooperation with a US consultancy firm, is preparing a comprehensive study to establish a new administration under the name of Anti-Corruption Department after the transfer of over six files of employees and companies that import goods to the Public Prosecution, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily quoting a reliable source said GAC has connected Abdali port automatically to the customs system, besides operating 14 new state of the art gadgets to detect banned items at the border crossings, which will be operational next month
