The 22 kilos of hashish seized from the Asian expatriate

KUWAIT CITY, April 17: An Asian expatriate was arrested for attempting to smuggle 22 kgs of hashish into the country via Abdali border, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Director General of General Administration for Customs Counselor Jamal Al-Jalawi appreciated the efforts exerted by Abdali customs officers in discovering the contraband.

As soon as he received information about the discovery, he rushed to Abdali Customs head office. He affirmed that customs officers at land, air and marine checkpoints represent a strong wall for enhancing protection of the country.

Elaborating on the incident, Director of Land Customs Affairs at General Administration for Customs Meshan Al-Saeedi said a customs officer at Abdali border checkpoint suspected a heavy vehicle that arrived from Iraq.

They scanned the vehicle using the inspection device at the border checkpoint and discovered some strange item near the driver seat.
