Customs and MoI discuss new strategy to fight drugs, liquor

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 18: General Customs Administration and the Ministry of Interior have discussed new mechanisms to combat illicit drugs, brain stimulants and liquor, and ways to enhance mutual cooperation to curb smuggling attempts, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

The two sides agreed to form a committee for continuous coordination and to keep abreast of the menace of illicit drugs and brain stimulants during a coordination meeting held on Tuesday chaired by the Director General of Customs Administration Counselor Jamal Al-Jalawi at its headquarter in Shuwaikh area.

The meeting witness the attendance of Customs Search and Inspection Sector represented by its Deputy Director General Osama Al-Roumi, and the Drug Control General Department represented by Director General Brigadier Bader Al-Ghadouri alongside several other officials from both sides.
