CSC agrees on salaries

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has agreed to disburse salaries to employees of the public sector who engage full time to establish small projects affiliated to the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development, reports Al-Anba daily.

The law of the fund allows a public sector employee to dedicate three years for establishing their project and he can return to his normal work in case the project fails. The fund will finance up to 80 percent of the capital of the projects. The maximum limit of capital of a small project is KD 250,000 and that of a medium project is KD 500,000.

According to informed sources, the Fatwa and Legislation Department has responded positively to the request of CSC to grant public sector employees who dedicate three years for establishing their projects a monthly salary as well as benefits such as social allowance, cost of living, children allowances and financial support.
