Crackdown in Jleeb, Dajeej

Municipality workers are confiscating the goods left behind by street hawkers who fled the raid.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: Kuwait Municipality’s Public Relations Department stated the General Hygiene and Road Works Sector in Farwaniya Governorate conducted a field tour of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Dajeej areas, which resulted in issuance of 11 citations against hawkers, and confiscation of three-truck loads of used clothes, fruits and vegetables.

Campaigns of this nature aim at curbing the number of hawkers in the governorate while clamping down on makeshift markets in a bid to preserve the civilized image of the governorate.
