Council’ to focus mainly on okaying of major projects

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: Chairman of the Municipal Council Muhalhel Al-Khalid affirmed that the last round of the council’s activities will focus mainly on approval of major projects across the country, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Khalid said the previous round actualized many achievements including allocation of many unoccupied lands for housing projects, as well as upgrade and expansion of the Entertainment City for making it one of the most advanced entertainment cities in the world.

He explained that the Municipal Council accomplished many projects in the oil sector such as construction of the natural gas dock and allowing bachelor workers to reside at work sites in order to reduce their presence in family residential areas. It also includes introduction of the new construction system for investment buildings in over 50,000 square meters spaces to encourage high quality constructions.

Al-Khalid revealed that the Municipal Council will coordinate with the executive authority of Kuwait Municipality to organize a workshop on the new structural plan for the country
