Council approves structural plan of 7th governorate’s northern borders

KUWAIT CITY, May 31: Mehalhal Al-Khaled presided over a meeting of the Municipal Council Monday which approved structural plan of the northern borders for the seventh governorate. The council also endorsed feasibility study to establish commercial zones in Wafra, Naem and Abdali areas, and also allocated northern Mutlaa area to the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW).

Among other issues discussed include violation of administrative towers in Kuwait City and allocation of parking lots according to a letter by Municipal Council members Osama Al-Otaibi and Manee Al-Ajmi, which stated Kuwait Municipality is late in taking action against the violating parking lots.

Concerning the Communication towers Osama Al-Otaibi said the council called Kuwait Institute for Scientifi c Researches to follow up the issue, noting the Amiri Hospital has three communication towers which Ministry of Health considers to be harmful to human health.

The council also approved report of the committee for special needs and disabled people, and request of the Ministry of Electricity and Water to extend power cables from Sabahiya to Shuaiba. The Council approved the request of the National Petroleum Company to establish contemporary accommodation in Shuaiba for implementation of bio-fuel project.
