Costly ‘young bride’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: Police have arrested an Arab woman for swindling a 65-year old man by offering him a young female relative to marry, reports Al-Anba daily.The ‘bride’ is reportedly living in one of the GCC states and is the age of her granddaughter. The woman reportedly received KD 5,000 price and was planning to leave the country. The suspect is working as a representative for a company trading in perfumes and did expect the elderly man to report her to police. The swindler, after receiving money, told the elderly man the girl had not accepted the marriage proposal and also refused to return his money. The swindler was arrested 24 hours before leaving for her home country.
